“I think I’m struck by the peaceful nature of today. That’s what I’m looking forward to — new hope, new challenges, and maybe a chance to rebuild our unity. We don’t have to agree on everything, but we can have conversations. Littleton, like the nation, is growing more diverse, and new leadership brings a chance to bring more voices to the table.”

Mickey Kempf, owner, Bradford Auto Body

“I’m glad it’s over. I try not to be a Democrat or a Republican or even an Independent. I’m a human being. Arguing, anger — it doesn’t seem to have gotten us anywhere. Let’s work together again. There are a lot of people who need help, and we’re not going to help them if we just stay at each other’s throats. Let’s get it together.”

Chuck Erle, Highlands Ranch resident

“I’m not certain about the next four years ... I’m an optimist so I hope that the economy ignites again and I hope it’s raging. We will wait and see what happens. I hope for the best, I hope the whole division rhetoric just sort of tamps down.”
