Update: Missing boy found safe

Update:

On July 31, the Colorado Bureau of Investigations assisted the Littleton Police Department by issuing a Missing Child Media Alert.  As a result of the media alert, investigators followed up on numerous tips and citings that were called in by community members.

On Aug. 1, Anthony was located in Denver.  Anthony was unharmed and is currently being returned to the care of his mother.        

Previous story:

The Littleton Police Department is asking the public to keep an eye out for 6-year-old Anthony Michael Rodriguez, who hasn’t been seen since his father picked him up about 3 p.m. on July 26.

The boy’s father, 47-year-old Peter Joaquin Rodriguez, is reported to be a homeless alcoholic with no vehicle and just a short time to live.

The father is 5 feet 2 inches tall and about 145 pounds. He has short black hair and brown eyes.

The boy is about 4 feet tall and 35 pounds. He also has short brown hair and brown eyes.
