‘Train Express’ a trip for railroad buffs

Posted

“Train Express” is the title for a new exhibit at the Depot Art Center, running through Oct. 30. Oils, watercolors, photographs, pastels and sculptures depicting trains and railroad lore are on the walls at Littleton’s historic 1881 Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Depot. It was restored to become an art gallery for the Littleton Fine Art Guild, as a Bicentennial project in 1976.

Longtime Littleton Fine Art Guild member Millie Kelly, who was a leader in restoration of the building, is juror for this exhibit.

Gallery hours: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays.

The red Depot Art Center, and its adjacent green caboose, are located at 2069 W. Powers Ave., north of the Littleton Municipal Courthouse. 303-795-0781.
