Getting the mountain feel
We have lived in Centennial since 2001. We moved here because it was an up-and-coming city with new development on the horizon. Schools also played a factor into our decision. What we loved best about Centennial is the outdoor living it provides us. We are so close to downtown Denver, but far enough away that we get to see wildlife walk through our yard such as deer, coyotes, foxes and so on. It has a nice mountain feel but in a city. We are Colorado natives and grew up in Pueblo. Prior to Centennial, we lived in Aurora.
Our best memory here was bringing each of our children home from the hospital after their birth and creating our family in our home in Centennial. I live with my husband and three kids. My oldest sister lives a mile away in Centennial as well. I volunteer as much as possible at our children’s schools.
Building a beer business
Lost Highway Brewing Company was started out of pure passion for beer. We have been in the industry for 15 years building beer brands, and we decided it was time to start brewing. Many trips to Belgium and spending time with the owners of various breweries that have been family-owned for many generations was inspirational.
This is our first brewery operation. We … have made many great relationships with the breweries we represented during those 15 years. However, our head brewer Brian has been professionally brewing for over 20 years, and we are very pleased to have him on our team.
Expanding south
We still have our followers from our original location on Colfax Avenue. We have been fortunate to also gain a new customer base here in Centennial. I would say our base is male and female professionals who love craft beer. Since we are surround by business parks and residential areas, we get the best of both worlds.
