Littleton police have arrested a man suspected of breaking into lockers and stealing items at the 24 Hour Fitness at 2650 W. Belleview Ave.

Officers responded to reports of a suspicious man in the gym’s locker rooms shortly before 5 p.m. Oct. 24. There they found Joseph Scot Nerud, 29, in possession of stolen property, according to a news release. He was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary and theft.

Gym-goers had reported two separate incidents where items had been stolen from lockers over the past two weeks. Employees at 24 Hour Fitness identified Nerud as a suspect and called police when he returned to the gym.
