Residents in the South Suburban Parks and Recreation District
are invited to provide feedback as the district’s board of
directors works on the 2011 budget.
Individuals are invited to comment on fees, request new programs
or facilities or improvements to existing facilities, parks, trails
and open spaces at two upcoming public meetings.
“This is an opportunity for the board to plan for the future and
take the pulse of the public of what they think the real needs
are,” South Suburban spokeswoman Jean Ray said.
Meetings will be held Sept. 8 and Oct. 13 at 6:30 p.m. at
Goodson Recreation Center, 6315 S. University Blvd. in
Centennial.
“Public officials want to hear from their constituents. They
want to know what it is people find important to them. That changes
over time so it’s important for the board to hear from the public,”
Ray said.
Citizens unable to attend can send comments to: Executive
Director, South Suburban Parks and Recreation, 6631 S. University
Blvd., Centennial, CO 80121.
Comments can also be faxed to 303-798-3030 or e-mailed to
donnas@sspr.org.
Requests should be labeled “2011 South Suburban Budget.” For
