Robert H. Feeney, of Littleton, closed his Irish eyes for the last time as he entered eternal life on December 23rd. A native of Wappingers Falls, NY, Bob was born to Frances Winifred (Flynn) and John Patrick Feeney in 1930. He graduated from Siena College in Loudonville, NY then worked as a reporter on the Poughkeepsie NY Journal before moving on to Prentice-Hall Publishing Co. in New York City. It was there that he met his late wife, Ann (Philippa). In 1962 he co-founded the advertising firm Turner & Feeney, Inc. In 1971 he accepted a position with the Johns-Manville Corp, which took him and his family to Colorado. Bob's achievements at Manville were numerous, culminating in his being named Communicator of the Year by the Business/Professional Advertising Association in 1985. A new vocation called him in 1986 and he became the Secretary of Communications for the Archdiocese of Denver, serving Archbishop (now Cardinal) Francis Stafford. In that role, Bob interpreted the church to the Catholic and non-Catholic population alike. The pinnacle of his career was representing the archdiocese as press spokesman and media specialist for World Youth Day in 1993, when his holiness John Paul II made an inspirational pilgrimage to Denver. In 1994 he married Elle Martling and they resided in Louisville, CO. They later divorced. A Funeral Mass was held December 30th at St. Mary Catholic Church, 6853 S. Prince St., Littleton, Colorado. Following the service, Bob was laid to rest next to his wife, Ann P. Feeney, at Littleton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Adaptive Adventures at www.adaptiveadventures.org In Bob's own words, his family is his legacy, and he is survived by his sister Ann Marie (Peter) Furnari, his brother Donald, his two sons Michael (Sherry) and Matthew, his daughters Kathryn and Roberta (Rob) Keosheyan, and his grandchildren Erin, Kyla, Dylan, Philippa, Colleen, and Connor.
