Those wanting to vote in this year’s Nov. 4 presidential election must be registered by Oct. 6.

Aside from new residents and those just turning 18 years of age, and anyone who has changed his or her address or did not vote in the last two general elections needs to update registration.

To determine registration status, contact the Arapahoe County Clerk and Recorder’s Office at 303-795-4511 or go to www.arapahoevotes.com and click on “check my voter registration status.” Voter registration forms are available on this Web site, to mail to the Clerk & Recorder’s Office.

The Web site also has a variety of information regarding voting and voting locations.

Voter registration can also be done at any driver’s license office or U.S. Armed Forces recruiting office. Call 303-795-4511 for locations.

Those registering to vote for the first time in Colorado need a valid Colorado driver’s license or picture ID, U.S. military card, copy of birth certificate, valid U.S. passport or valid Medicare or Medicaid card.
