Staff report
An attempted bank robbery ended when the suspect fled the
building while a clerk was trying to retrieve her manager, police
said.
At 12:38 p.m. March 1, Littleton police officers responded to an
attempted robbery at the Chase Bank, 5734 S. Prince St., in
downtown Littleton. The suspect was described from several
witnesses as being a white male, about 5 feet 5 inches tall, in his
late 30s to 40s, with a thin to medium build. He reportedly was
carrying a black back pack.
The bank clerk said the suspect, who did not show a weapon,
approached her and stated, “Give me all your money.”
The teller then sought the assistance of a manager, according to
a police department news release. Instead of waiting for further
assistance, the suspect left the bank onto South Prince Street.
