Getting to the state meet is apparently no problem for Arapahoe boys.

Arapahoe High School boys swimming has nine of its swimmers already qualified for the Class 5A sate championship swim in May.

And for some of them, they will have their choice of events to hit in Fort Collins for the season’s final swim. Josh Schechter, Silas Getz and Jeremiah Zgliczynski are just three of them.

Schechter, ranked in the state by the Colorado High School Activities Association, has pre-qualified for state action in the 200-yard freestyle, the 100 butterfly, the 100 backstroke, the 200 individual medley, the 100 free, the 500 free.

Getz is qualified in the 200 free, the 100 fly, the 100 back, the 200 IM and the 500 free.

Zgliczynski, also ranked by CHSAA, made state qualification marks in the 100 fly, the 100 back, the 100 free, the 100 breast and the 500 free.

The three have littered qualifying times across their events.

Kyle Hentschel has also made state times in more than one event, including the 200 free, 100 free, 200 IM, 50 free and the 500.

Matt Nadel (200 free), Logan Lagesse (100 back), Luc Lagesse (200 IM) and Eric Kothlow (500 free) each have qualified for the final swim as well.

Also ranked among CHSAA’s latest numbers, diver Connor Boe has earned his place among the state’s top competition this season.
