Alamo Drafthouse Littleton is getting ready to roll.

The signs are up at Aspen Grove's latest addition and Littleton's only movie theater. Tickets will be available March 8 for the grand opening on March 25. The first week will be abuzz with festivities designed to give patrons the full spectrum of Alamo experiences, from first-run and independent films to specialty repertory films and events.

The first Alamo Drafthouse in Colorado features a full-service bar, Glass Half Full, which offers libations made locally. Pre-show entertainment includes rare clips, videos and shorts customized to complement each film or special event. While watching, you can enjoy an appetizer from the full-service restaurant overseen by Chef Seth Rexroad.

“The Alamo employs a full-time video editor and pop-culture sleuth to create custom pre-show montages that can range from vintage film or television clips, to educational films, cartoons, even Japanese game shows,” said company spokesman Brad Johnson. “The pre-show is usually themed to the film being shown. For example, before `Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,' part of the pre-show was Trent Reznor music videos since he did the music for the film, and for `Dark Knight Rises,' they showed some very obscure Japanese `Batman and Robin' video clips.”

The restaurant boasts an extensive menu featuring many dishes made from scratch. Your meal is delivered directly to your seat, which is fitted with a table for comfortable dining.

All seating is assigned and can be reserved online, www.drafthouse.com, or in person at the box office.
