Tate Music Group Artist Karyn Jarrell Performance will be from
7-9 p.m. Nov. 25 at Solid Grounds, 6504 S. Broadway, Littleton.
Jarrell will be performing songs from her album, Newsprint.
Nov. 30
Science Café, which will feature author Michael W. Carroll, will
be from 4:30-6 p.m. Nov. 30 in room M1950 at the Arapahoe Community
College Littleton Campus. Carroll will speak about weather on other
planets and moons. The Science Café, which is presented by the ACC
Biology Department, is free and open to the community. Free food
will be available for the event, which is limited to 30

Nov. 26
Expert crafter Pat Vick will present two identical workshops on
creating a miniature holiday window scene from 10 a.m. to noon and
2-4 p.m. Nov. 26 at Bemis Public Library. These classes are open to
adults and children age eight and older who are accompanied by an
adult. Participants must bring $2.50 for materials. Wear an apron
or “crafty clothes.”Since space is limited, call the library at

Breakfast with Santa is Dec. 3 at Arapahoe Community Colleg.
Breakfast begins at 8 a.m. in the Littleton Campus cafeteria.
Tickets must be purchased ahead of time at the Student Affairs
Office and cost $2. The event is limited to 200 guests, and
children ages 2 or younger are admitted for free. ACC’s Littleton

Santa Claus will dine with members of the community Dec. 3 at
Buck Recreation Center. Breakfast with Santa, an annual favorite,
is sponsored by Littleton Rotary Club. Two seatings will be
available: 8:30-9 a.m. and 9:30-10 a.m. Pancakes, sausage, juice
and coffee will be served. Throughout the morning, Santa will pose
for photos with children. Youngsters will also have an opportunity
to make a holiday craft. Cost of the event is $5/$4 Resident; $2
for children under 10 years of age. Seating is limited, and

Smithtonians Handbell Ensemble Holiday Concert is at 2 p.m. Dec.

Ensemble is a community handbell choir, performing in venues all

Denver Nuggets Basketball Skills Challenge for boys and girls
ages 7-14 will take place Dec. 10 at South Suburban’s Buck
Recreation Center. The challenge includes dribbling, passing and
shooting. The event is free, and participants must bring a copy of
their birth certificate for age verification. The top boy and girl
in each age group will advance to a sectional competition and have
the opportunity to attend a statewide event at the Pepsi Center.

Public Hearings. Last week, Arapahoe County hosted two open
houses to gather public feedback on proposed draft regulations on
oil and gas exploration within Arapahoe County. Starting in late
November, Arapahoe County will host two public hearings where the
planning commission and the board of county commissioners will
review the draft regulations and proposed changes based on the
feedback from the community. These meetings are open to the public
at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 29 at Lima Plaza, Arapahoe Room, 6954 S. Lima
St., Centennial; 9:30 a.m. Dec. 13 at the East Hearing Room, 5334
S. Prince St., Littleton.
