Bill would improve our education choices

Having had four children attend Littleton Academy, I'm a strong supporter of the educational advantages offered by charter schools.

The positive school environment my children encountered was a great asset to help them learn. That's why I was very encouraged to see Colorado House Bill 11-1089, sponsored by Rep. Kathleen Conti, House District 38, being considered.

This bill would allow Colorado charter schools to apply for federal and state grants. They currently are not permitted to do so. This bill would level the playing field for charter schools, which are at a disadvantage in raising funds for education.

Let's hope this bill becomes law. Colorado needs all the good education choices it can get.
