Gretchen Rydin is running for the at-large seat on Littleton's City Council in the upcoming November elections. I am quite sold on her, the person and the platform.
She is warm, engaging and she actively listens — skills she cultivated as an experienced social worker and community leader.
She will hear you when your shop on Main Street is struggling, when potholes invade your street, when your teenager labors to find mental health support and when your neighbors worry if the library will remain open or what will happen to that parcel of land next to them.
And Gretchen will bring her collaborative skills to form partnerships to tackle traffic congestion, to advocate for affordable, safe housing for all who want to make Littleton their home, and to create solutions for sustainable funding for those services upon which we rely.
I believe her voice on the council will enhance Littleton's heart and extend a warm welcome for all, thereby strengthening our community.
Let's do our part and vote by Nov. 2.
Lynne Popkowski,
Littleton
