The upcoming vote regarding the extension of South Suburban’s one mill open space acquisition, development and maintenance is critical to all of us who live with the Districts boundaries and enjoy the unmatched services provided therein. A “yes” vote will help ensure that South Suburban will continue to be a positive element of our lifestyle as well as a significant factor when determining the value of homes.

I have the highest confidence that the district’s board will continue to put the revenues from the one mill levy to good use in safeguarding open spaces, developing trails and maintaining what we have. We should not delay. We need to return those mail ballots with the “yes” checked and continue to support one of the most outstanding and cost effective agencies in the country.
