Mary Katherine "Katie" Files, 84, of Greeley, CO died Friday,
August 13, 2010 at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.
She was born in Los Angeles, CA, on December 19, 1925 to William
and Mary (Williams) Doerr. She grew up in Dallas, TX and married
James Files in Wichita Falls, TX on June 30, 1944. Katie was a
life-long learner, an avid reader and had a passion for
gardening.
She is survived by daughters, Karen Hicks (Bill) of Buena Vista,
CO, Nancy Niehoff (Peter) of Greeley, Claudia Baker (Bob) of
Cedaredge, CO, and Laura McCormack (Jordan) of Avon, OH; sons, Jim
Files (Nancy) of Dallas, TX and John Files of Galeton CO; ten
grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a
grandson, Tim Reynolds.
A memorial service was held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 17,
2010 at Adamson Chapel in Greeley.

"Triangle Cross Ranch", a not for profit assisted living home for
intellectually disabled adults, in care of Adamson Funeral and
