“Kaleidoscope,“ an annual juried art exhibit, opened July 15 at Arapahoe Community College’s Colorado Gallery of the Arts. It will run through Aug. 5, with gallery hours: 12 to 5 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. Art faculty members Trish Sangelo and Susan Goggins served as jurors for the show, which includes paintings, photographs and mixed media pieces in many styles, as well as several three-dimensional works.

First Place was awarded to J. Lenorovitz for “Butterfly Days,” an intricately etched and painted glass vase.

Second Place: “Untitled,“ Karen Zink’s digital collage with layered images.

Third Place: “Old Tree” by Ralph Nagel, painted in oils on a wood panel.

The jurors also awarded a number of Honorable Mentions to: Pat Dall, Darrell Eldridge, Don Simasko, Lisa Calzavara (who currently has a one woman show at the Littleton Museum), Catherine Belot, Joyce Pederzolli (2), Mary Cramer Collier, Paul Lindberg, Jum Furrer and Meghan Manning.

ACC is located at 5901 South Santa Fe Drive, Littleton. The gallery is in the Annex building on the east side.

The gallery phone should be manned during stated open hours: 303-797-5649.
