Registration is now open for the summer Junior Police Academy, sponsored by the Littleton Police Department and Arapahoe Community College. The academy is open to middle school students in grades six through eight. Students learn self-defense and arrest control, firearms safety, evidence collection, Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) and other topics of instruction. All topics are "hands on" activities and are designed to teach students the skills of the law enforcement profession.
