It’s Ice Melt Barrel guessing time in Evergreen

The Ice Melt Barrel is now gracing the ice at Evergreen Lake, so it’s time to guess when the barrel will touch the water.

Proceeds from this fundraiser sponsored by Mountain Foothills Rotary go to the INSPIRE special needs program operated by the Evergreen Park & Recreation District, Evergreen Christian Outreach and the Mountain Foothills Rotary Foundation.

Tickets are available at evergreenicemelt.com, and are $3 for one guess, $5 for two guesses, $10 for three guesses or $20 for 11 guesses.

Last year, it touched the water at 1:34:42 p.m. on April 14. That was not the latest in the contest’s 16-year history. The latest touch was on April 17, 2019, while the earliest touch was March 5, 2009.
