Insurance agent offers free teaching materials

Todd Kirsch Farmers Insurance Agency is offering free teaching materials, lesson plans, resources and DVDs for bringing democracy, diversity, history, the arts and literacy into your classroom. The programs and lesson plans will engage elementary age students and inspire critical thinking and analysis in middle and high school students. Farmers has partnered with Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH), National Council for Social Studies (NCSS) and American Association of School Administrators (AASA) in developing programs to state standards.

Specific Programs include: Black History Month, Asian Pacific Heritage, American Democracy, Hispanic Heritage Program; Women in History, Arts Education Program, Wrecked: Teenage Driving, Ordinary Americans Doing Extraordinary Things.
