The Highlands Ranch Community Association is hosting a blood drive to support STEM School Highlands Ranch following the school shooting on May 7 that left one student dead and eight others wounded.

The blood drive will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15 at Northridge Recreation Center, 8800 S Broadway. Community members who are unable to donate blood are still encouraged to attend to thank first responders and say hello to comfort dogs.

HRCA is partnering with UCHealth and Vitalant, a nonprofit organization with 127 donation centers nationwide that hosts 30,000 mobile blood drives every year. Walk-ins are welcome, though appointments are suggested. Call 303-363-2300 or visit vitalant.org and click on “Donate.” Use site code 10002.
