Littleton Historical Preservation Board member Pam Grove has announced a bid for an at-large seat on city council this fall.
Grove, 66, has worked in a variety of fields, according to a news release, including as a marketer, team leader, corporate trainer and business coach. Grove has worked as an instructor at Regis University, the University of Phoenix and Metropolitan State University, she said.
Grove said her interest in running for council was piqued by serving on the Envision Littleton Community Coordinating Committee, a citizens' group providing feedback on the city's forthcoming Comprehensive Plan update.
“I've always been interested in giving back to my community,” Grove said. “I want to see Littleton grow and thrive, but keep its charm and small-town feel.”
Grove has sat on the city Historical Preservation Board since 2010, and was its chair for three years. She said her experience gives her a deeper understanding of how the city works and important community issues.
Grove said as a councilmember she would be focused on issues including “managing growth with appropriate zoning, enhancing traffic flow, maintaining safety and quality of life, and spending tax dollars on infrastructure that serves the needs of the community,” according to the news release.
Grove volunteers for the American Marketing Association and High Line Canal Conservancy, according to the release. She has an MBA from San Francisco State University.
