The Heritage High
School football team made it three in a row with a 38-0 shutout of
Golden High School.
However, Golden
held it close through three quarters, but Heritage busted out with
four TDs in the final frame. Eagles running back Jordan Delbaugh
scored four times and finished with 123 yards rushing, and Blair
Zimmerman added a touchdown Sept. 12.
Zimmerman finished
with 71 yards rushing on 14 carries.
The Heritage (2-0
West Metro League, 3-0 overall) defense has allowed a total of 6
points by their three opponents.
The Eagles have
their first home game of the season at 7 p.m. Sept. 19 against
Denver North (0-2, 0-3).
Against Golden,
Heritage quarterback Mitch Griebel carried the ball 18 times for
106 yards and was 8 of 16 for 84 yards through the air.
Delbaugh’s four
TDs brought his season total to a team-high seven.
