Chuck Fraser doesn’t believe that all the dripping faucets and
leaky toilets in Littleton have been cured.
Instead, the director and founder of Littleton’s volunteer-based
Handyman Program believes the program is just underutilized, and
he’s looking for clients.
The program’s focus is to assist the elderly and disabled who
have limited resources to accomplish small tasks including lamp
repair, kit assembly, window sealing, picture hanging, smoke alarm
battery replacing, and other minor repairs.
Longtime Littleton resident Fraser and his wife Ginny, began the
program in 2000. Ginny convinced Chuck to use his talent at fixing
things to help the needy. Chuck recruited eight volunteers
including a licensed electrician and a licensed carpenter.
Available to City of Littleton residents who qualify, the
Handyman Program is run by volunteers who have multiple skills in
minor household repairs.
