Paintings and photographs by Littleton fine Arts Guild members share images of “Our Favorite Places” through July 23 at the Depot Art Center.

Favorite places range from an intimate “Coffee Break” spot in a photograph by guild president Peggy Dietz to the Best of Show winner, new member Brian Serff’s colorful watercolor of the “Grand Canyon.” Serff has been a guide at that splendid location and knows it well, Dietz said.

Littleton artist rita derjue is juror of the Littleton Fine Art Guild’s travel-oriented show. She spoke at a June 11 reception, telling artists that paintings had to go beyond the ordinary to win an award.

Awards, in addition to Serff’s, include:

Juror’s Choice: National Monument” by Adelene Voils, watercolor.

First Place; “Bridge in Prague” by Helen Matthews, oil.

Second Place: “Reading Terminal Market” by Pat Dall, oil.

Third Place: “Serenity at Grand Lake” by Joyce Murphy, oil.

Honorable Mentions: “Poppies” by Marge McMonagle, oil; “Coffee Break” by Peggy Dietz, photography; “Rome, Italy” by Joni Tomasetti, mixed media; “Girls in White” by Janice Warriner, oil.

The next exhibit scheduled at the Depot will be the annual Western Welcome Week All Colorado show, which draws entries from across the metro area.
