Event honors rescue workers

The 13th Annual AirLife Memorial 5K / 10K / EMS Muster was held at the Hudson Gardens and Events Center in Littleton on May 23.

The annual event honors Emergency Medical Service professionals and commemorates the December 1997 crash of an AirLife helicopter in Littleton that killed four people.

The event, which was sponsored by Friends of AirLife, included a 5K Run, 10K Run, 10K Walk, emergency vehicle muster and volleyball tournament.

Proceeds from the event go to maintenance of AirLife Memorial Park near the site of the helicopter crash, EMS education and to help the families of EMS professional who lost their lives in the line of duty.
