Unicorns, princesses and more than a few superheroes paraded through Littleton's Bemis Library on Oct. 24, before settling in for cookies, punch and Halloween tales.

The annual parade is a chance to mingle with other kids and parents, said Jamie Bartlett, who came with her husband Jacob, son Elliot and daughter Lucy.

“The kids love it, and we (believe) it helps us feel more connected to the community,” Bartlett said.

Bemis Library offers a slew of children's programming, including daily “Story Box” storytime sessions, and other events like “Paws to Read,” where kids practice reading aloud by sharing a book with a canine friend.

Bemis Library is at 6014 South Datura St. More information is available at littletongov.org.
