Career fair set for Oct. 30 at college

Posted

Those interested in a law enforcement or criminal justice career can meet with more than 50 agencies at a career fair hosted by Arapahoe Community College.

The fair will be Oct. 30, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the cafeteria of ACC, at 5900 S. Santa Fe Drive.

Agencies from all across Colorado will be in attendance, including Sterling, Vail and Breckenridge, as well as local sheriff and police departments. Representatives from the state Probation Department and Department of Corrections and public and private organizations that work within the criminal justice system are also expected to attend.

The event has proven to be a valuable way for employees to find employers.

“Year after year we see many people who are seeking criminal justice and law enforcement careers meet their future employer at this event,” said ACC Police Chief Dennis Goodwin, who oversees the school’s Law Enforcement Academy. “We’re looking forward to helping many more employers and job seekers connect on Oct. 30.”

The public is welcome to attend the free event. Those seeking employment are encouraged to bring resumes. For more information contact Stefanie Mackey at 303-797-5793.
