The Arapahoe Community College Foundation will host the Chalk it Up to Education Art Festival at Arapahoe Community College Sept. 10 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the Chalk it Up to Education 5K Run/Walk Sept. 11 at 9 a.m.

Over 100 artists - both students and professionals - will create works of art along the sidewalks of the campus green. A professional artist has been chosen to display their chalk art work.

In addition to the works of these fine artists, a variety of bands will be playing on the main stage. Guests may purchase food and/or other products and services from numerous festival vendors. A pair of box seat tickets to Taylor Swift will be given away for her show Sept. 27 at the Pepsi Center (must be present to win). There will also be a human hamster wheel, bounce houses and a car display onsite.

Courtney Loehfelm, ACC Foundation Executive Director said, "The inaugural Chalk it Up to Education Art Festival was a huge success. For our second year we increased artists, vendors and attractions to provide an exceptional experience and good wholesome fun for families and children of all ages."

During the festival, prizes will be awarded in a number of categories including Best of Show, Best Use of Color and Best Original Design. There will also be the Most Fun and Interesting in the 11-17 age group and in the 10 and under age group.

Signature sponsors for this year's event include 5280 Solutions, Guiry's and First Bank of Littleton.

The Littleton Campus of Arapahoe Community College is located on the east side of Santa Fe at College Drive, 5900 South Santa Fe Dr., just south of historic downtown Littleton. To learn more about this festival go to www.chalkituptoeducation.com.
