SeaQuest Interactive Aquarium opened at Southwest Plaza in south Jefferson County on June 2, showcasing more than 300 species, including stingrays, sharks, turtles, snakes, lizards and birds.

The aquarium, located between the Dillard's and Eddie Bauer stores at the mall at 8501 West Bowles Ave., features exhibits highlighting habitats from China to Iceland to the Amazon rainforest.

Visitors can hand-feed sharks, stingrays, birds and other animals. SeaQuest offers bigger adventures, too: guests can feed caiman alligators or snorkel in the aquarium's 45,000-gallon tropical tank.

The aquarium is SeaQuest's eighth, joining locations from Florida to California.

Admission is $14.95 for adults and $9.95 for kids under 12. See littleton.visitseaquest.com for more information.
