Transient busted after burglary report

On March 5, a 19-year-old woman called 911 to report a stranger had entered her family’s home in the 2400 block of West Jamison Way, near Mineral Avenue and Jackass Hill Road.

Littleton police officers arrived quickly and surrounded the house. They caught Kristopher Gregg, 29, exiting the rear of the home.

Gregg is a transient and has no known address. Police found packages, apparently taken from porches in the neighborhood, inside a stolen car associated with him.

Gregg was booked into the Arapahoe County jail on charges of second-degree burglary, aggravated motor vehicle theft and theft. Bond is set at $60,500.

Police say there is no indication the incident could be related to two home invasions last fall. On Aug. 22, a robber or robbers forced their way into a home on Knox Court in Littleton. On Sept. 30, the same thing happened not far away in Bow Mar. Both incidents happened between 8 and 10 a.m.

LPD Cmdr. Trent Cooper says there is nothing further to report on those crimes. Anyone with information should contact the police department at 303-795-3890.

Police encourage everyone to make sure they know who is at the door before opening it, and never hesitate to contact local law-enforcement agencies to report suspicious individuals, vehicles or circumstances.
