Hundreds gathered on a beautiful sunny day in Littleton May 27 for two Memorial Day ceremonies sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Pat Hannon Post 4666 and the American Legion George C. Evans Post 103. The first was at Littleton Cemetery at 8 a.m. in the Veterans Circle, where observers visited the graves of fallen soldiers. The second was at Littleton's World War II Memorial at 10 a.m. This year's ceremonies took special note of Heritage High School graduate and  Navy SEAL Danny Dietz, who died in battle on June 28, 2005. Both featured the El Jebel Pipe Band and a 21-gun salute from the All Veterans Honor Guard CDR.
