A two-vehicle accident on S. Broadway near C-470 just after noon on Sept. 26 resulted in no injuries and no stoppage of traffic.
According to Trooper Josh Lewis of the Colorado State Patrol, a dump truck collided with a pickup truck around 12:30 p.m., resulting in the dump truck rolling over onto its side and spilling much of its contents.
“Since the spillage and rollover occurred in a lane already shut down for construction, no further lane closures were necessary,” Lewis said. “Both drivers were uninjured and we have determined that neither drugs nor alcohol were the cause of the accident.”
The site of the accident was near the median on S. Broadway, not far from where two construction workers were killed in a November 2012 accident after a driver lost control of his vehicle on the C-470 exit ramp.
