The Douglas County Sheriff's Office and Douglas County Search and Rescue have located Kara Bently, 41, or Highlands Ranch.
The sheriff's office asked for the public's help in locating Bently after she did not return home from a mid-afternoon walk on Oct. 1. Bently was reported safe and sound at 1:30 a.m. Oct. 2.
The Highlands Ranch woman normally goes on 30-minute walks during the daytime, but after she had been gone a few hours the family contacted the sheriff's office.
The sheriff's office issued a CodeRED emergency alert/reverse call to all those within one mile of Bently's home and urged all area residents to be on the lookout for her.
There is no more information available on Bently's disappearance at this time, but the sheriff's office has issued a statement, thanking the public in helping to locate her.
