U.S. Rep. Mike Coffman (R-Aurora) is meeting with leaders of small businesses located in his congressional district this week to hear their concerns and suggestions about what can be done in Washington to create a better environment to grow and create jobs. The listening session is planned for 10 a.m. May 19 at the Arapahoe County Government Administration Building, 5334 S. Prince St., Littleton. It coincides with the 48th Annual National Small Business Week and owners of small businesses in Colorado’s 6th Congressional District will be in attendance.
“I know firsthand the challenges of running a small business,” Coffman said. “America’s entrepreneurs don’t need more bureaucratic red tape or higher taxes — they need tools and resources that allow them to grow.
“Small businesses are the engine that drives our economy, and there is no way we will pull ourselves out of this recession without them.”
